A snake in the Grass [Jade/Sebastian]

You left me paralyzed, and now I'm stuck

Jade was sitting in one of the nicest cafe's in Boston, it was all outdoorsy type of Cafe and the food was sublime. She was sitting outside under one of the huge black umbrellas that were put out. It was way too hot today but that didn't stop the people here apparently. Jade herself was prepared with one of her more nicer white sundresses, a nice big sun hat, and her signature glasses. Unbeknownst to the mortals they were keeping her from causing mass Paralysis.

Truth be told she never really asked for the powers to begin with, but what can you do when your mother is Medusa? Not much, but it did come with some other neat powers. She had the snake skin like her mom so regular weapons didn't work on her, she's never known a scar in her life. And apparently she can talk to snakes, it was interesting and they had lots to say. They were even helpful in making anti venom, it's what's pushed her to wanting to become an expert in snakes. She had a little unfair advantage but who cares?

Back to the matter at hand, what was she going to order now? They had quite of lot of tasty options here and it wasn't as if she didn't have the money. She was quite wealthy believe it or not. Her father was a wealthy business that was struck with a terrible illness that stole his health, his vision, and his life. Towards the end of his lifespan he met Medusa and because of his blindness she was able to mate with him and had Jade. She couldn't remember much about him, she remembered him being so nice and she loved him. By the age of 39 he passed away in his sleep, Jade was only three at the time. The blonde sighed, she missed her dad a lot, living with her mother was a nightmare. Apparently Medusa wanted her daughter to take revenge in her name. But that wasn't Jade's thing. She wanted to do her own thing. And that was becoming a snake expert.

Now then food? Food. Steak would be nice, very nice actually. And maybe a bottle of champagne too? Yeah she was feeling the mood for that as well. She decided to get that as well. A waiter exited the cafe to visit her. She smiled and ordered her food. He takes down her order, they have a quickly idle chat and he was well on his way. He was pretty cute too, ugh if only she didn't have the ability to paralyze people. What a pain in arse it was, she couldn't count the many times that people asked her to remove her glasses and that she couldn't. She even had to get papers saying they were medically prescribed. And eye condition, her eyes are too sensitive to light. Even the dullest light hurts her eyes. It was so easy to make everything work out like this. But it still it was annoying when people still asked.

Jade sighed, safe from the hot sun under the large umbrella and waiting for her order. She debated about getting ice cream. She could really go for some, it was hot as well. A nice way to cool off, aside going home where the AC was. Hopefully the maids remembered to leave it on, or else there'd be hell to pay.
